Ammon Smith, a senior at Iowa City High, won the boys 800-meter final in 1:53.42 at the 113th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Smith elevated from finishing 17th in last year's 800 final in 2:00.36 to win the first title in the event for Iowa City High.
